Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
6+ years of engineering experience in machining and metal fabrication; machining experience includes CNC (mills and lathes), creating process improvements: improve operator procedures, optimize fixture design based on ergonomics
5+ years of cross-functional leadership experience both operationally and commercially within a heavy manufacturing environment
3+ years experience with a metal fabricator, heavily worked in forming, welding, machining, and stamping departments
Ability to create new production cell layouts, organization, and work instructions to increase through-put efficiency
Extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
Proven experience leading a Lean, Root Cause Analysis, and Value Stream Mapping project
Working knowledge and/or experience with P&L and CapEx projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as problem-solving skills
Successfully managed a team responsible for overseeing operations with annual sales of approximately $5B annually
Directly involved in leading team overseeing multiple start-up facilities with over 5,000 employees in the US, Mexico, Europe, and China
Trained in Six Sigma, DMAIC, 5S, managing trained black belts and green belts as well as other change agents for direct bottom-line savings and continuous improvement projects domestically as well as overseas
Saved company money through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles while being an executive leader within organization
Successful hands-on leader responsible for P&L, Capex, and many other oversights to increase effectiveness and efficiency reporting to highest levels of executives combined with cross-functional leadership
Six sigma trained with successful implementation of changes that resulted in bottom-line results and streamlining efficiencies within organization
